Founded in 1946, the Tudor watch brand was established by the Rolex watch founder Hans Wilsdorf to offer a new watch that had the same precision and reliability of a Rolex timepiece but at a more affordable price-point. Tudor enjoyed great success unsurprisingly as a result of the established popularity of its Rolex cousin. My collection includes fine examples of the 1950’s Tudor-Rolex association with 9 carat gold Tudor timepieces all with the desirable Rolex hallmarked case.
